The school is holding an assembly. Koshiba and Hina are standing at the back of the hall, discussing their plans.
Here’s a quick summary of their conversation:
The Math: Right now, there are 5 other Greys (minus Koshiba and Hina). But since they are individualistic and probably wouldn’t help at all (they hardly show up at school anyways).
Koshiba asks Hina what she is good at. She goes round challenging the top athletes of their school. If she wins, the entire team/club will have to join the Greys. (they signed a written contract as proof). So there goes the basketball, soccer and track teams. Meanwhile, Koshiba is planting a virus into the school’s computer. Right on cue, a White comes running to him, asking for his help. There’s a ‘computer bomb’ and it’ll self destruct in 600 seconds (10 mins). Apparently, no one in the computer club is smart enough to ‘de-activate’ the virus. “I can think of a way to help you…please sign this first.” Holds out a ‘contract’ to them. “By asking for Tetta’s help, I agreed to join the Greys.” The entire club freaks out. “You … this…could it be you who..?!” “Now, now, no need to say that kind of stuff.” Smirks. “No problem for me if you don’t want to sign this… but all your hard work (computer projects?) … Another 3 minutes to go before it BLOWS UP!!” The club freaks out even more ^_^; “OK ok ! We’ll sign!!” [ryou: hehehe] -- A couple of days later… There’s a very visible crowd of Greys walking around the school. Nishizaki is NOT happy. “What’s going on!!!” Ahhh!! the Greys scatter. One of Nishi’s cronies explained. Hina went for the sports club (beating the top athletes in the country on the way) and Koshiba went for the cultural arts club, and both have managed to get 100 new Greys in two days. “See that Nishizaki!!” Hina’s across the courtyard, talking through a loudspeaker. “I grew up in the mountains. There, I have to climb mountains to get to school everyday. There’s no way I’ll lose to you city folks.” Nishizaki glares, she runs. “That monkey better know what she’s dealing with! You guys know what to do, don’t you?” “Right!” -- After school, three of the new Greys were walking home. Some Blacks come up to them. “What do you want?!” <--this part is hard to explain, so I’ll post a scan soon for it soon--> -- The next day… Hina is high in spirits. She is confident that she’ll be able to finish the recruitment within a week. She spots a couple of Blacks and starts chasing them. “Hey, wait up! Aren’t you the athletes? Why are you wearing the uniforms?! Ah, what’s up with the scratches on your faces!” It’s Kamaitachi, one of the new Grey Killer Force. They’re the Blacks who usually hangs around Nishizaki. (Bandana guy and long hair guy) The Whites were targeted too. It seems like they’ve managed to get to all 100 new Greys. -- Hina runs up to the Blacks and kicks the guy with the Bandana. She’s mad that Nishizaki is resorting to such dirty tricks like forcing people to wear their old uniforms (by slashing their faces and leaving 3 lined scratches) “Aren’t you doing the same thing? Forcing them to a challenge and made the Greys. It wasn’t their choice. That’s why they turn back so easily.” -- A defeated Hina is sitting by herself, thinking things over. Nishizaki is right, it’s no use if they don’t change by their own will … A Grey walks by her. It’s that guy from the Basketball team (she beat him at free throws). His name is Takamizawa. He’d decided to stay a Grey (note the scratch marks) as he thinks the school’s system is weird too. Even the sports teams are segregated in every way possible. He decides that he wanna help, starting by convincing the guys in the basketball club. “We’ll change this school!” Thumbs up and a wink, he leaves smiling. “…yes!” Hina IS happy. Isshiki stands watching from a distance. “Did you hear that? There are people who understands!” She starts to leave, but remembers something. “Oh right, when I got hit by Nishizaki, was it you who took me to the Nurse’s room?” Isshiki just makes a blunt comment. “I wasn’t awake, but I thought it was you. Thanks!” She smiles sweetly at him before running off. -- Meanwhil, Koshiba is talking to Shirayuki. “Hey, can you invite me to your house next time? To the famous palace of snakes?” Shirayuki’s dad is a reptile collector. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Koshiba gives her his conditions. Be a Grey, she has a week. Otherwise, get out of the school. He has yet to tell Hina about Shirayuki’s ‘other side’, but if she doesn’t listen to what he says, he’ll change his mind… --
